PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — A man was shot in the leg early Thursday morning in Eliot neighborhood.

The shooting was reported around 3:15 a.m. at the Chevron gas station at the intersection of Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Northeast Fremont.

Police said the victim was transported to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center and is expected survive. Few details about the shooting are known because the victim was uncooperative.

Police said the shooting is not gang related. An officer with the Forensic Evidence Division responded to take photographs of the scene and collect evidence, including at least one shell casing.

No suspects have been identified.
