Oregon man accused of running over bald eagles

A 28-year-old Oregon man allegedly killed two bald eagles and injured others while they were eating in the roadway

UNALASKA, Ak. (KOIN) — A 28-year-old Oregon man is accused of accelerating his truck through several bald eagles and killing them, CBS News reports.

The Alaska Dispatch News named Dennis Thompson as the suspect in the case. He allegedly killed two birds and injured others in Dutch Harbor, Alaska with his Ford truck.

The eagles were in the roadway eating.

The incident happened on June 7.

Witnesses reported the act to troopers, who eventually were led to Thompson.

He will be arraigned in Unalaska District Court on June 30.
