CANBY, Ore. (KOIN 6) – One person died when a Dodge pickup truck rolled over late Sunday night in Canby after witnesses told police they heard a vehicle “race by” moments before the crash.

The driver, 44-year-old Jeffery Luck from Oregon City, was the only person inside the pickup, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said. The crash happened around 11:15 p.m. on Bremer Road between Blount and Central Point, about 15 minutes to the east of Aurora State Airport.

Authorities said initial results found alcohol to not be a factor in this fatal crash.

All roads around the crash were re-opened by 4:30 a.m. Monday.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office and the Oregon City police are investigating. A spokesperson was not immediately available.

KOIN 6 News will have more information later.
