PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) —- Several roads downtown were closed Sunday for the Portland Pride Parade.
The parade started around 11 a.m. from the North Park Blocks. There were 150 groups participating in the parade which went through downtown from West Burnside to Tom McCall Waterfront Park.
The parade route went from Northwest Park west on West Burnside, north on Northwest Broadway, west on Northwest Davis, and then south on Southwest Natio Parkway, ending at Southwest Pine Street.
Several streets along, and near, the route were closed between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
TriMet reported minor delays were to be expected.
Oregon Gov. Kate Brown has been named parade grand marshal.
