PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The CEO of Gravity Payments was in Portland Friday.
Dan Price recently made headlines for giving up his salary and setting a $70,000 yearly minimum wage for his employees.
“It’s not about going out and buying a Lamborghini or something, but just those basics. Paying for school, paying for groceries, paying for housing, the basic things that we all deserve to have and that we all live for.” Price told KOIN 6 News.
He said this decision has made him the happiest he’s ever been.
The CEO of the credit processing business said he’s gotten hundreds of emails from other CEOs trying to do the same thing.
