Portland Police: No suspects identified, tips sought

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) – A man suffered serious injuries Tuesday morning after being stabbed in the upper body, police said.

The man’s name and age have not been released, but Portland Police said they responded to the intersection of Northeast 20th and Broadway Street around 1 a.m. Tuesday after getting reports of an assault with a weapon.

Officers arrived on scene and located the victim who was transported to a local trauma center.

The man, police said, is expected to survive.

Police said they have not identified a suspect.

The motive remains unknown.

The case will be referred to detectives for follow up, police said.
