PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Shelter favorite Lenny has found a forever home after being featured last week on KOIN 6 News This Morning.

Lenny the pit bull terrier mix had been at the Humane Society for SW Washington since August.

The four-year-old, who weighs 45 lbs, was known as a shelter favorite. He thrives when outdoors, but inside his kennel, he was sad and withdrawn.

On Saturday, a man who had seen him at the shelter before decided to take him home after seeing last week’s segment.

His new owner’s dog recently passed away, making Lenny and him a perfect fit.
