KEIZER, Ore. (KOIN) — Three McNary High School students were injured in a collision that happened just after school let out for the holiday weekend.

A Jeep Wrangler with two students and a Chevy Blazer with one student collided just outside the school around 2:30 p.m. Friday, officials said. All 3 were taken to Salem Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Jeep was 16-year-old Austin Verboort, a junior at the school.  He is in critical condition.

Verboort’s passenger was 16-year-old Trevor Guzman, also a junior.  He has been released from the hospital.

The driver of the Blazer was 16-year-old Christopher Gibson.  He is also a junior and is also recovering at home.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
