PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Kyle Loomis keeps a thought in mind every time he punts, a shooting lesson learned from 4 years of Army training: never rush.
“I actually tell myself, ‘Slow is smooth, smooth is fast,'” he told KOIN 6 News.
The PSU Vikings punter is one of the best collegiate punters in the country. At 27, he is a rookie hopeful for the Seattle Seahawks following his years in the military.
He took part in a 3-day rookie training camp with the Seahawks.
