PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Officers responded to reports of multiple shots fired in Montavilla Park Monday afternoon, officials said.

Shortly before 4:15 p.m., East Precinct officers were called to 8219 NE Glisan Street, Portland Police Bureau said.

Witnesses said after they heard multiple gunshots in the park, they saw two African American men run to a dark-colored car, police said. The car then took off going westbound on NE Glisan Street.

Two possible intended victims, also described as two African American men, fled the scene in a gray or silver smaller SUV, according to witnesses.

No gunshot victims were located in the park.

Officers and the Gang Enforcement Team are responding to the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
