PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) – A 46-year-old male was taken to a hospital late Sunday with serious injuries after being shot in a possible gang related shooting, police said.

A police spokesperson said officers responded to the 1500 block of Northeast Liberty Street on reports of a shooting. Officers found the victim alert and conscious. The victim’s home had multiple gunshots fired into it from outside the residence, police said.

Witnesses told police they heard multiple gunshots being fired and saw several males running southbound on 15th Avenue after the shooting.

Anyone seeing anything suspicious in the neighborhood should call 9-1-1. Investigators from the Gang Enforcement Team responded to conduct an investigation, police said.
