Employees discover grenade in Goodwill donation

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Police responded on Monday morning to a report from a Goodwill center that a grenade had been discovered in a donation box.

Employees discovered the grenade when they were unpacking a box that had arrived from another store. It was wrapped inside a blanket.

Police arrived at the center, located at 9025 NE 117th Ave, and determined that the grenade was an inert training device and was not explosive.
