FOREST GROVE, Ore. (KOIN) — A 3-alarm fire caused around $400,000 damage to a commercial building in Forest Grove.
A total of 45 firefighters battled the blaze at TF Draper Door Company, 3847 24th Avenue, that began around 5:15 a.m., officials said. It took firefighters a while to get inside the building, and once they did they had the fire under control in about an hour.
Hotspots took a few hours to extinguish, officials said. No one was hurt.
A cause has not yet been determined, but investigators said the origin was in the area of a garbage can. The building did not have fire sprinklers, officials said.
