PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A growing jihadi threat has raised the security level on military bases around the U.S, including the Portland Air National Guard base.

CNN reported that new information about the growing threat came to light and the order was signed by Admiral William Gortney, head of the command.

In Oregon, where President Obama was set to take off on Friday morning, the base increased security level to Bravo level, the Oregon Department of Military staff said.

They wouldn’t define exactly what Bravo level entails but enhanced visible and non-visual security measure have been put in place at the air base.

KOIN will have more information on the story as it develops.
