Vigil planned for victim in unsolved homicide

At the time of the shooting a witness told KOIN 6 News she heard more than 10 gunshots

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — A vigil will be held Wednesday evening for a 24-year-old man killed near Woodlawn Park in mid-April.

The vigil for D’Andre Dickerson will be held at Woodlawn Park at 6 p.m. He was found shot to death in the Woodland Park Condominiums’ parking lot in the 6800 block of Northeast Claremont Avenue around 12:18 a.m. on April 14.

In April, Crime Stoppers of Oregon announced a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information in the case.

Portland Police Bureau spokesperson Sgt. Pete Simpson said at the time of Dickerson’s last known address was in Seattle, Wash. Police said Dickerson was shot by an unknown person. Detectives have not released any suspect information.

Simpson said detectives would like to hear from anyone with information about the shooting or Dickerson’s ties to Portland.
