PORTLAND. Ore. (KOIN) — Officials with the US National Forest Service are looking into vandalism at Tumalo Falls that was prompted by a man’s Facebook post.

Brett Nelson took a picture of a man and two young people, apparently teens, who he said carved their names on the handrail at the falls in the Deschutes National Forest.

Nelson said he doesn’t know who the vandals are but said they claimed to be from California.

The Facebook post has been shared more than 50,000 times, but the alleged vandals have not been found.
