JACKSON COUNTY, Ore. (KOIN) — A 14-year-old was killed when he was struck by a car on Highway 99 on Tuesday night, Oregon State Police said.

Tanner Allen Robert Pascoe of Central Point was transported to Rogue Regional Medical Center by ambulance and pronounced deceased at approximately 10:45 p.m after being struck near Mace Road.

Police do not believe that the driver, Robert Penner, 35, also from Central Point, was impaired or speeding when he struck Pascoe. He is cooperating with investigators.
