ALOHA, Ore. (KOIN) — A fight between two 15-year-old girls left one seriously wounded with multiple stab wounds and the other now facing assault charges.

The stabbing happened around 8:20 p.m., said Vance Stimler with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, and involved girls who knew each other at Aloha-Huber Park School.

The girls came to the school – a K-8 school part of the Beaverton School District –  to have a pre-arranged fight to “air out some grievances,” Stimler said. One of them had an “edged weapon” and stabbed the other multiple times.

The wounded teen was rushed to the trauma unit at OHSU. She is expected to survive.

The other girl was found a few hours later at a nearby home and taken into custody. She’s being held in the Donald Long Juvenile Facility and faces second-degree assault charges.
