SE Portland home damaged in fire

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) – Firefighters battled an early morning structure fire in the Brentwood-Darlington neighborhood.

The fire was reported shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday in the 6900 block of Southeast Tenino Street, the Bureau of Emergency Communications reported. Firefighters closed parts of SE Tenino as they investigate.

When firefighters arrived, they found black smoke coming from the front of the house and flames coming from the back, firefighters said. The flames had been extinguished by 4:30 a.m. There were no reports of any injuries. A fire investigation is underway to determine the cause.

Clackamas County Fire District 1 responded to help as mutual aid, firefighters confirmed.
