GRESHAM, Ore. (KOIN) — Ron Holcom said he was looking at moving his wife into a live care center in the days before she went missing.
Diane Holcom, 74, was last seen at her home on the 800 block of NW 3rd at 6:30 p.m. March 24, police said. She has Alzheimer’s and authorities fear she has become lost or disoriented and cannot find her way home.
“She’s not a person who is outgoing or anything,” Ron Holcum told KOIN 6 News. “I just can’t vizualise her getting in , asking for ride, hitchhiking. She was an independent person.”
Holcom said he thought at first she had her credit cards and ID. But “she didn’t take any ID with her,” he said.
Diane Holcom also “didn’t wear her red coat,” he said. “They had sightings of different people, but none of them have materialized. I’m getting to a point where I am a little discouraged.”
She is a white woman, 5-feet-10, 130 pounds with blonde hair and looks younger than 74.
“I love her and miss her,” Ron Holcom said. “I’m anxious for her to come home.”
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call 503.823.3333.
