Body recovered along East bank of Willamette River

Sex and age of deceased not yet released

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — Portland Fire & Rescue crews located a man who had died in the Willamette River Sunday, officials said.

The man has since been identified as Francisco Marcelo Flores, 61, from Portland. The medical examiner ruled drowning as the official cause of death.

The crews found the deceased man along the East bank near N. Port Center Way.

It is unclear how long he was in the water.
