PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — Wednesday evening the Portland Police Traffic Division responded to a fatal crash at Northeast 33rd and Columbia, officials said.
The two-vehicle crash occurred shortly after 4:30 p.m., police said. One of the vehicles ended up under an overpass. The other had a smashed front end and was found up against a concrete barrier.
One person was found dead on the scene, and another was transported to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center with potentially life-threatening injuries.
Northeast Columbia Blvd. is closed in both directions at 33rd Ave. Drivers are encouraged to use Lombard/Portland Hwy as an alternate route.
