PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Three teachers at Portland’s Wilson High School have been placed on paid administrative leave amid an investigation into a hazing or bullying incident.

Principal Brian Chatard alerted parents to the situation in a note Wednesday that was light on specifics.

The principal wrote that he learned of “troubling activities that took place as part of an initiation into one of our classes.” He went on to say that bullying and hazing are not consistent with the values at Wilson High, and student well-being is the highest priority.

The principal did not identify the teachers placed on leave or say how many students were involved.
