Teen dies, boy critical in Saturn-Hummer crash

OREGON CITY, Ore. (KOIN 6) — An 18-year-old girl died and a 7-year-old boy was critically hurt in a head-on collision with a Hummer Friday night.

Initial reports suggest Madison Kealoha West, driving a Saturn, veered into oncoming traffic and slammed into the Hummer on South Redland Road near Lyons Road. She died at a hospital.

The boy was reportedly unrestrained in the Hummer. He was airlifted for treatment of his injuries. The driver, Steven Mark Naylor, 58, was treated and released.

No other details are available at this time.

A vigil for Madison West is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Oregon City High School.
