BEAVERTON, Ore. (KOIN 6) — A Las Vegas man was arrested by Beaverton police for allegedly being involved in the sex trafficking of a teenager from the Portland area.

Beaverton police said they first began the investigation after they saw an ad posted on Backpage.com. They contacted the girl to arrange a meeting at the Comfort Inn in Beaverton.

The 16-year-old arrived with a 24-year-old man identified as Reginald D. Manning. Beaverton police arrested him on charges of compelling the prostitution of a juvenile and having a loaded gun at the time.
