PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — An Oregon man accused of setting fires at his suburban Portland home in an effort to drive tenants out after a rent dispute has been arraigned in Circuit Court.

The Oregonian reports that 31-year-old David Gillette was arrested Friday, accused of first-degree arson. He was arraigned on Tuesday in Portland.

According to reports from Gresham and Portland fire officials, the man is accused of setting numerous fires to the side of his home in what was described as an attempt to evict tenants.
