WOOD VILLAGE, Ore. (KOIN 6) – The reports of a man threatening others with a weapon at Wood Village Travelodge were determined to be false, officials said.
Multnomah County Sheriff deputies responded to the Travelodge in the 23700 block of NE Sandy Boulevard at 6:52 a.m. Thursday after getting reports of a suspicious person making threats with weapons. Firefighters and paramedics also went to the scene.
Once adjacent rooms were evacuated, authorities went into the room and found it to be empty. Deputies are now talking with the person who originally made the complaint.
Sandy Boulevard was shut down from NE 235th to NE 223rd, but has since re-opened.
