SALEM, Ore. (KOIN 6) – One person died early Tuesday after a crash on southbound Interstate 5.
Lou Torres, a spokesperson with the Oregon Department of Transportation, says the crash involved a single vehicle.
All lanes re-opened around 4:30 a.m. Earlier in the morning, Oregon State Police and ODOT shut down one lane of the interstate for investigators.
Officials said there is heavy fog in the area. It remains unknown if the weather was a contributing factor in the crash.
Torres said people in the area should proceed with caution.
