PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — A fire in a spray booth at a semi-truck manufacturing plant forced the evacuation of hundreds of workers Tuesday morning.

The fire at Western Star Trucks, 6936 N. Fathom, was spreading to the roof when firefighters arrived just before 8 a.m. The work shut down and the workers evacuated the building.

Flammable liquids and aerosols were involved in the fire, forcing several systems to be shut down before firefighters could put out the blaze.

Western Star Trucks — formerly known as Freightliner — is a division of Daimler.

Officials said no one was hurt. No cause or damage estimates are available at this time.
