MONMOUTH, Ore. (KOIN 6) — A man who told police he was living at a Salem rock quarry was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a minor.
Robert Furman is accused of the sexual contact while at a friend’s house on or around Jan. 18, Monmouth police said.
He was arrested in Salem and is being held in the Polk County Jail on a first-degree sex abuse charge.
Officials believe the 50-year-old recently moved to Oregon from Idaho, and it’s possible he had been in contact with other minors.
The investigation continues, and anyone with information is asked to call Monmouth police at 503.838.1109.
