PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — A 26-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a woman he knew in a Southeast Portland motel.
Rashid Kambarov is suspected of raping and sodomizing a 31-year-old woman at the Montavilla Motel, 320 SE 99th Avenue late Friday night. Police were called to the emergency room at Portland Adventist Medical Center just after midnight as the woman was there receiving treatment.
She told police she knew Kambarov through mutual friends, and she provided the information about the scene in the motel that helped find the suspect.
Investigators also said they found more evidence in his car.
Kambarov is being held at the Multnomah County Jail.
