PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — One of three men accused of killing a man back in 1995 in Southeast Portland will be in court this morning, officials confirm.

Vinson White, 51, is scheduled to appear in Multnomah County Circuit Court later this morning, where he will be arraigned on a grand jury indictment that accuses him of eight counts of aggravated murder and four counts of murder.

The indictment accuses White and two other men of killing Darrin Ezell in 1995. A fourth suspect has already been indicted and is currently awaiting trial.

The latest grand jury indictment was issued in December 2014, and also charges Adrian Cavett Stafford and Selwyn Terris Stafford with various counts of aggravated murder and murder.

In April 2014, Portland Police Bureau Cold Case Homicide detectives said they arrested 48-year-old Danny Conner in connection with the murder of Darrin Ezell and booked him into the Multnomah County Detention Center on two counts of murder.

According to records obtained by KOIN 6 News, Ezell’s girlfriend had just left for work in Southeast Portland, leaving her two children in her home. Three masked men entered the apartment, confronted Ezell and then shot him. The three suspects fled the scene. Investigators, at the time of the homicide, said Ezell may have been involved in gambling and drug dealing. Detectives have said the motive for the homicide was robbery. Court documents show that the men committed the murder in the course of a kidnapping and burglary.

Adrian Stafford is currently in federal custody at Sheridan Federal Correctional Institute. He was indicted on 12 counts of aggravated murder and four counts of murder.

Selwyn Stafford is in federal custody at Terminal Island Federal Correctional Institute in Long Beach, California. He was indicted on eight counts aggravated murder and four counts of murder.

White had been in custody at Stafford Creek Correctional Facility in Aberdeen, Washington.
