PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) – Doctors are working on a man with multiple bullet wounds, the Portland Police Bureau confirmed Thursday morning.
The victim, who is in his 30s, was found shot several times near the intersection of Southeast 150th Avenue and Southeast Division Street around 1:47 a.m.
The man was transported to a local hospital with “potentially life-threatening” injuries, Portland Police Sgt. Pete Simpson said.
Police are looking for witnesses who saw anything in the moments surrounding the shooting. Simpson said there is no suspect description at this time.
Southeast Division Street was closed as investigators from the Forensic Evidence Division and members of the Portland Police Bureau Detective Division collected evidence, but has since re-opened.
Police said at this point, there is no indication to believe the shooting is connected to a shooting investigation happening in Gresham on Southeast 179th. The two shootings were called in about 20 minutes apart.
