ALOHA, Ore. (KOIN 6) — Three men were arrested following a suspected robbery with a firearm that followed a chase in a Toyota Prius Monday afternoon in Aloha.
Joshua Dwayne Johnson, 25, Brendan Cole Schumacher, 21 and Jeremy Matthew Shinder, 18, all from Beaverton, were charged with two counts each of first degree robbery in what WCSO deputies believe, based on witness reports, was a drug-related incident.
WCSO said police received reports that Schumacher, Johnson, and Shinder lured two victims to a secluded area, after “bad feelings” stemming from stolen marijuana equipment.
The three men, who were reported yelling at several others in the 5300 block of SW 169th Pl. just after 2:00 p.m., were arrested six minutes after fleeing the dead-end road in the black Prius, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) said in a statement Tuesday.
Police received reports one of the suspects had taken a handgun from another person during the altercation.
Beaverton Police Department and WCSO officials stopped the Prius at SW Tualatin Valley Hway and SW Hocken Ave. Police believe the handgun was hidden, because it was not accounted for.
Johnson, Schumacher and Shinder are lodged in the Washington County Jail, each held on $500,000 bail.
