EUGENE, Ore. (KOIN 6)  — With so many celebrities behaving badly, and cameras everywhere these days, we’re used to see famous people doing bad things on video.

But this dashboard camera video of Oregon Ducks Quarterback and Heisman hopeful Marcus Mariota getting pulled over at 12:46 am on Nov. 12 by an Oregon State Police Trooper, couldn’t be more ho hum.

The video was obtained by KOIN 6 news Dec. 3.

He politely answers “yes sir,” “thank you sir,” after being pulled over, going 80 mph in a 55 mph zone in his Nissan Cube, registered in Hawaii. He provides his license and insurance willingly.

Watch the video of the traffic stop on Highway 126 if you like. But we warned you: it’s boring.

Mariota also paid his $260 ticket online to avoid a conflict in attending the College Football Awards ceremony Dec. 11, the day he was scheduled to appear in traffic court.

Not like Harris

The stop bears no resemblance to an OSP video uncovered by Tilkin in 2011, when former Ducks player Cliff Harris was pulled over in a car going 118 mph, with QB Darron Thomas riding shotgun.

Harris infamously told the trooper “we smoked it all.”
