PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — Shoppers will be dodging showers all day Friday, turning heavy at times in the afternoon and early evening as a cold front moves in from the north.

Be sure to pack an umbrella and rain boots if you’re headed to the tree lighting ceremony at Pioneer Courthouse Square. High temperatures will be in the low to mid-50s,but temperatures drop throughout the day.

Cold air filters into the region late Friday. Saturday starts with scattered showers. Some of those showers may contain snowflakes, even in the lowest elevations.

Showers decrease through Saturday morning. “The Civil War” between Oregon and Oregon State looks dry but cold in Corvallis. Expect temperatures in the low-40s, dropping into the 30s during the game.

Sunny skies dominate Sunday, but it’ll be cosmetic sunshine. Temperatures remain in the 30s all day long with a strong east wind, especially near the Gorge.
