PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) – A driver ran a stop sign and ended up t-boning a TriMet bus, police said.
Officers said the crash was reported at 6:32 a.m. at the intersection of Southeast 81st and Southeast Washington.
The TriMet bus, a line 15, was traveling eastbound on Southeast Washington when the female driver of a minivan crashed into the side.
The driver of the minivan, police said, ran a stop sign. She was transported to Portland Adventist Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The bus operator was not hurt. Another bus was brought in to replace the damaged one.
The driver of the minivan will likely be cited, officials said. Her name has not been released.
The intersection was closed for a short amount of time while police investigated.
