MCMINNVILLE, Ore. (KOIN 6) — A 25-year-old woman is dead following a motorcycle crash in McMinnville Sunday night.

Police said Reshelle Kair died on scene when the motorcycle she was riding crashed into a parked pickup truck on SE Millwright Ave south of SE Naomi Way just after 8:00 p.m.

Police said Kair’s boyfriend, 33-year-old James Nash, who reportedly owns the 2015 dirt bike, was riding behind her. The front wheel reportedly came off the ground, apparently causing Kair to lose control, crashing into the back of the truck while the front wheel was still in the air.

Neither Kair nor Nash were wearing any protective equipment at the time of the crash, and an investigation by Yamhill County officials tentatively indicates alcohol had been consumed by both riders prior to the rash.

The pickup was legally parked, police said.

Anyone with questions or information regarding this crash is asked to contact the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office at 503-434-7506.
