Rural areas in Marion Co. were without 911 service

MARION COUNTY, Ore. (KOIN 6) — Several cities in Marion County were without 911 service for a few hours Monday night, but the service was re-established around 9 p.m.

The 911 outage was discovered around 1 p.m. on Monday and impacted Frontier Communications customers in Silverton, Humble, Turner and Mill City.

A fiber optics line was cut, and service was restored around 9 p.m. Monday.
