Charles Loyd remains on the run after escaping the sheriff’s detention center around 4:30 a.m. Monday.

Chief Criminal Deputy Pat Kaley said investigators have followed up on numerous tips but have been unable to find Loyd.

The warrant issued Tuesday is for one count of second-degree escape.

Kaley said on Monday Loyd was able to walk out the backside of the jail after a door was left unlocked.

The investigation into how and why the door was left unlocked remains on-going, Kaley said.

If the public has any information regarding this incident they are encouraged to contact the Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office at (509)773-4455.

On Monday, the sheriff’s office sought tips looking for evidence of Loyd’s inmate uniform.
