PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — Oregon voters will continue to conduct primary elections the same way it’s been handled for decades.

It didn’t attract as much attention as some of the other ballot measures, but Measure 90 — rejected Tuesday by Oregon voters — would have changed the way elections would be handled.

Oregon voters have been casting ballots in primary elections since 1904.

People who opposed the bill were concerned on their being too much leeway for corporations to fund candidates, and get them elected.
