LEBANON, Ore. (KOIN 6) — A Lebanon woman died Tuesday afternoon when a 1950s tractor flipped over and pinned her underneath.

Doris Eileen Jennings was working to remove a tree on private property with a Scio man, James Royer, investigators said. She attached a chain to the tractor and tried to pull an oak tree out.

But the tree wasn’t moving, so Jennings throttled it up, Royer told investigators. The tractor flipped over and pinned her, causing severe head injuries.

Jennings was 47.

The investigation is ongoing, but early indications are that neither drugs nor alcohol was a factor.
