Battle Ground teens arrested on gun charges

One teen is 18 and charged, one teen is 17 and released to parents

BATTLE GROUND, Wash. (KOIN 6) — Two teenagers were arrested for allegedly firing guns in a Battle Ground neighborhood Monday night.

The shots were fired around 10:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of West Main Street, Battle Ground police said in a release. Witnesses provided enough information that the two suspects were soon found in two separate cars.

A 17-year-old was found with a long gun and ammunition in his car in the 500 block of Main Street. He was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and released to his parents.

The second suspect, Jaysun Cory Lobdell, tried to get away from police but was stopped in the 400 block of SE 4th Street. He also had a weapon in his car and admitted he fired it, police said.

Lobdell, 18, was booked into the Clark County Jail and is charged with reckless endangerment, attempting to elude the police, and driver under 21 consuming alcohol.
