PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — Portland just had its wettest 24-hour period in 63 days.
By 9 a.m., Portland picked up seven-tenths of an inch of rain since Tuesday afternoon, the wettest day since July 23.
Before this storm, Portland had only seen six-hundredths of an inch of rain since the beginning of August.
In Salem, they had 1.19 inches since Tuesday afternoon, their wettest period since early March.
Astoria broke their 107-year-old record for September 23 with 1.98 inches of rain before midnight.
The calendar for tracking how much water we get each year ends October 1. As of now, Portland is 5.15 inches shy of normal rain amounts.
