PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — Jonathan Boland doesn’t wear the number 1 by accident.
“I’m very confident in my abilities,” said the senior quarterback from Parkrose High School. “I can beat you with my legs and arm, (and I have) five amazing receivers that I can throw to.”
Boland plays the game with passion and style, and the Parkrose Bronco nation is along for the ride.
The program had 11 straight losing seasons until they went 6-4 last year. But when the cheering faces, you’ll find Boland and his Broncos teammates putting in time on their academics.
Head coach Mo France turned the program around and Boland had a great deal to do with it.
But he won’t be satisfied until they break another long Parkrose drought.
“Gotta make the playoffs,” Boland said. “Gotta make the playoffs.”
