Sewage bubbling near Marquam Nature Park

Sewage release confirmed at 11:15 a.m. Saturday by maintenance crews

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — Sewage is bubbling from the ground near Marquam Nature Park, officials said Saturday evening.

The sewage release was confirmed around 11:15 a.m. Saturday by maintenance crews at a ravine near 1400 SW Broadway Drive.

Officials said the sewage is flowing across the Marquam Trail and into a catch basin draining to the city sewer system.

Maintenance crews are at the scene and signs are posted alerting the public.

It is not known at this time what caused the sewage release.
