Boogie boarder swept out by rip current, rescued

The 25-year-old man was conscious, alert and breathing when rescuers got him to shore.

LINCOLN CITY, Ore. (KOIN 6) — A boogie boarder was swept out in a rip current and was rescued by water skiers with the Lincoln County Fire & Rescue.

The 25-year-old man was conscious, alert and breathing when rescuers got him to shore. He was taken to a nearby hospital to get checked, authorities said.

The incident was just north of the Chinook Winds Casino property.
