HOLLYWOOD (KOIN 6) — Ready to feel old? Wednesday marks 25 years to the day the first “Saved by the Bell” episode hit American television sets.

The stars of “SBTB” have pursued very different careers in the days after the hit teen show. Zack and Kelly — err, Mark Paul Gosselaar and Tiffani Thiessen — moved on from Bayside High to become established actors. Mario Lopez transitioned into a seasoned reality TV host. Dustin Diamond, who played the oddball Screech, has done everything from reality TV himself to writing an autobiography about the Bell’s juicy secrets.

On Sept. 1, Lifetime will premiere “The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story,” a behind-the-scenes look at the young actors’ lives in hopes society might still be interested.

In preparation for its airing, the network released a short trailer earlier this week, and with nearly 300,000 page views in two days, they may have made a wise investment.
