PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — The Portland Water Bureau wants to hear from Portlanders about their experience following May’s water boil notice.

That notice for the entire city came after water samples taken at three locations between May 20-23 showed the presence of total coliform and E. coli in drinking water samples.

The bureau posted the survey about the issue on Wednesday to get the public’s feedback on how the situation was handled.

Questions on the survey include “how you received information and advice on what to do during the incident.”

The agency said they are working to prevent future boil water situations, adding they also want to improve how they communicate during emergency situations.

In order to take the survey, visit the Water Blog on the City of Portland’s website here.
