Condo neighbor ‘masterful’ in ‘freaky’ video

Mitchell Brown said this is the latest in a long list of incidents

ROCK CREEK, Ore. (KOIN 6) — Mitchell Brown said his condo association board neighbor won’t stop harassing him. He said she screams at him and calls him names.

But what bothers him the most is that Lazette Harnish was seen on video from inside his condo sliding open his patio door, walking in without permission, and applying some liquid material on the door handles of his patio door.

“The violation to watch that video, you have no idea how that makes you feel. It was freaky,” Brown told KOIN 6 News. “She was masterful, like she had done this before. Didn’t seem to bother her at all.”

Brown said this is the latest in a long list of incidents he’s been documenting since April. He accuses his upstairs neighbor of pouring bacon grease on his window, collecting cigarette butts and dropping them at his front door, and screaming that he is a loser and an alcoholic.

But it’s the video that has him most alarmed.

“She has a vial in her hands, a clear vial, obviously some type of chemical,” Brown said. “She starts shaking it and then she walks into the kitchen and we don’t see her.”

Brown said he suspects she put whatever was in that vial all over his condo. He said he’s been sick recently and he’s been feeling sluggish.

He thinks he knows why.

Brown said he’s not sure why his upstairs neighbor won’t leave him alone. They’ve been friends in the past, he said, but nothing more than friends.

KOIN 6 News tried to talk with Harnish, but she deferred all questions to her attorney, who has not yet returned a call for comment.

Brown said he’s in the process of getting a no contact order, and said the Washington County Sheriff’s Office recently took her away in handcuffs. But Brown said the breaking-and-entering charges were dropped.

However she was arrested on Monday. Harnish faces a charge of first-degree criminal trespassing.
